Darrin Armentrout – Chief Operating Officer

Darrin, a founding member of the Acquisition Logistics Company, currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer. He works closely with our customers, program managers, team-mates, and corporate officers to ensure effective contract management and oversight of ALC’s Quality Assurance Program. He oversees operational activities that provide successful outcomes for ALC’s contractual and corporate initiatives.

Darrin brings over 25 years of continuous service managing acquisition and contracting support services for the Department of the Interior, the National Park Service, the Federal Aviation Administration, the US Secret Service, the Defense Logistics Agency, the Defense Health Agency, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, and various offices within each of the military branches. He supervised a portfolio of acquisition and contracting programs for federal customers that engaged over 600 personnel at one time. His teams have managed billions of dollars in commodities, services, facilities, and research and development programs.

Darrin believes that transparency and open and honest communication is key to successful customer support. “Building trust is the foundation of everything we do.” He is a former United States Air Force Officer with a degree in Physics from Virginia Tech, and has attained certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Six Sigma Black Belt.

Darrin and his wife are raising 3 children, 2 Labradors, and 2 cockatiels. He coaches travel soccer and basketball and is a supporter of Virginia Competitive Horse Show activities.
